We all know the massive benefits that exercise will provide to our lives but why do most of us fail again and again and end up giving up. The Fitness Attitude might help explain that and Bevan Eyles is very honest about the industry that he makes his living from.

He is concerned that the fitness industry is failing the majority of people out there. He says ‘Unfortunately my industry is failing the people who need us the most, the people who aren’t doing any exercise or a falling away from it. In a time where our population is getting more overweight and moving less we are creating products that make people feel like failures. Sure these products work for the people who already have a love of fitness but they are failing those who don’t. There needs to be a different way, I hope that the work that I’m doing is providing that.

Fitness is not just about the physical, it’s also about personal development and mind set. Bevan believes that we can teach everyone this mind set which will shift how they approach exercise and lead them to succeed.

Bevan says it saddens him when he sees how exercise is often sold to us, the majority of marketing around exercise implies that the only benefits of exercise are six-pack abs for guys and weight loss for girls. The goals are often unrealistic for the majority and therefore people feel worse than before because they can’t achieve them. He had one aim when writing this book, to share the lessons he has learnt from being a person who has spent his whole adult life being someone who has help others love fitness and to find the highest levels of himself through exercise. He wanted to do this so the reader can implement these important lessons into their own life. In The Fitness Attitude Bevan shares many experiences and tools that will help readers advance their fitness.

The Fitness Attitude will help readers be successful with exercise, gain a deeper understanding of the behaviours that create this, and gain all of the amazing benefits that exercise can bring to their life. As Bevan says ‘Success in exercise is more about the behaviours we use to create success than a type of movement or diet we use. In this book I wanted to share the behaviours that people who are successful with exercise use.’
