SOL3 MIO announce one-off Auckland show and a nationwide tour

Following the unprecedented success of their album tour earlier this year and a whirlwind of international releases, Civic Events is proud to present the return of opera sensations Sol3 Mio to New Zealand.

Sol3 Mio will play a very special hometown outdoor concert in Auckland at Villa Maria Winery on Sunday 21st December – “Christmas in the Vines”. The show will have a seasonal theme and will include performances by special guests.

Then in February and March 2015, the Samoan trio, made up of tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay, will take to the road again, touring theatres and arenas nationwide, presenting new material along with favourites from their debut album, all delivered with their trademark irrepressible humour.

“It has been a crazy year for us” says Pene. “We are so happy to be back in New Zealand, very excited about the Christmas show at Villa Maria Winery and about getting out to the heartland again with our national tour in February & March. We have been preparing new material, we can’t wait to bring it home”.

Sol3 Mio’s self-titled debut album, released on November 15, 2013, spent sixteen consecutive weeks in the number one position and was the biggest selling album in New Zealand in 2013.

“Sol3 Mio is a phenomenon,” says Civic Events co-promoter Campbell Smith. “In all my years of promoting tours and shows, I have never experienced anything quite like it. Their shows are powerful, moving, mesmerizing and hilarious, often all at the same time.

The Villa Maria Winery Christmas in the Vines show will be a magical way to mark the season, and the national tour will take Sol3 Mio all around New Zealand, back in front of those audiences that saw them last time, who have their album, and, I’m sure, a whole lot of new fans too.”

The talented trio have not only been busy putting a national tour together, Sol3 Mio will be releasing their first-ever live concert DVD and Book this year! Along with a stunning biography, you can savour Sol3 Mio’s spectacular live show at home with their first DVD, Ladies & Gentlemen..., released in November.
