Venerdi Organic Sourdough Six Seed is the favourite artisan bread of many Kiwis, at Venerdi they asked their customers if they thought Venerdi Six Seed needed more seeds and more flavour and the call came to “add more seeds” so immediately they substantially increased the seeds by 40%, which included increasing the ratio of Pumpkin seeds to create that delicious nutty flavour and amazing health benefits. It was also decided to reduce the yeast which allows more time for the loaf to ferment and to develop a lovely fragrant sourdough flavour.

Venerdi Organic Sourdough Six Seed is a country-style loaf packed full of six varieties of  seeds - sunflower, pumpkin, linseed, quinoa, sesame and poppy seeds which are all fantastic natural sources of energy and nutrition, this bread is organic, gluten free, dairy free, low in sugar, vegan, low in fat and made in New Zealand, what more do you need?

This is a rich sourdough toast bread with brown rice flour being fermented overnight along with the sourdough before making up a significant portion of the final dough. The seeds are also soaked overnight in water and the final dough is mixed, tinned and left to rise. The loaves are all batch baked in rack ovens, creating a simple and delicious flavoursome toast bread.
