Well-known audio book narrator, Stig Wemyss, is coming to the Invercargill Public Library for a one-off performance on Friday, October 30, as part of his national tour, “The Stig Does NZ Tour”.

Invercargill Public Library’s Customer Experience Manager, Cynthia Smith, said this was the first time Mr Wemyss would perform at the Library.

“Stig’s performances in libraries and schools around New Zealand and Australia have become popular with children and adults alike. His shows are wildly entertaining, cleverly irreverent and chocked full of fun.

“We have sent invitations to local schools and the event is also open to anyone else who is interested, although the target audience is 8-10 year olds. The tour is promoting audio books for children, particularly those available to download through Bolinda BorrowBox.

“Our library provides free access to downloadable eAudio books through the Bolinda BorrowBox app which is available via our website, www.ilibrary.co.nz,” Mrs Smith said.

Mr Wemyss will be visiting ten other locations across the country during his tour. Entry is free and the event runs from 1.30pm – 2.30pm in the Library Learning and Activity Space.
