Outdoor Education Dart River Jet style

Outdoor Education week takes on a whole new meaning when your school’s in Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu’s on your doorstep.
 
As part of its end-of-year ‘learning outside the classroom’ experiences, Queenstown Primary School junior school students aged from five to seven have been enjoying day trips to the beautiful township of Glenorchy at the head of the lake.

Highlight of the day has been a spin (or three) on Dart River Jet, making the most of crystal-clear waters and the chance to get just a little bit wet.
 
Proving that teachers can get just as excited as their pupils by a Dart River jet boat experience is teacher Amber Leung (centre) with her class of students, and parent helper Jeanette Edwards (front left).
 
“They’ve had an absolute blast,” says Dart River Jet business manager Harald Ulriksen. “It’s delightful to see how much they enjoy the thrill of a jetboat ride and just being in our amazing outdoors.”
