Angus Stone has got a freshly squeezed single for us taken from a juicy new musical project called Dope Lemon.

Though Angus has recorded albums before under his own name (2012's Broken Brights) and as Lady of the Sunshine (2009's Smoking Gun), Dope Lemon is a new endeavour.

The group's first album, due in the coming months, is called Honey Bones. It was recorded with the help of a couple mates: Rohin Brown (singer of The Walking Who) and Elliot Hammond (The Delta Riggs) on keys.

Aside from some tracking in New York City and in an industrial state in Byron, the majority of the record was done on Stone's farm in his own recording space, called Belafontè Studios.

The first taste of the new project is the cheekily titled 'Uptown Folks', which got its premiere on 2016 with Richard Kingsmill and is an appeal to "get back to the garden" against the backdrop of some laidback coastal rock.
