Sydney based artist, STARLEY, is killing it GLOBALLY with the Ryan Riback remix of her debut single off her upcoming solo album, Call on Me. The record is a guitar-based, dance anthem written by Starley as a way of supporting herself through some personal trials in her life at the time.
Starley -“I wrote this song when I was at a low point in my life. I wrote it in my bedroom late one night, on the keyboard. Since I can remember, all I’ve wanted to do was write and sing. I even moved country to pursue my dream and spent years in London, strugglingwith money, but still believing I would make it. I’d finally got to the point where I was feeling helpless and wanted to give up. I was thinking of walking away from music altogether... That reality was heartbreaking for me. One night, this song just pouredout of me. It became a way of telling myself it was going to be ok; almost like an encouragement. It was as if I had created my own lighthouse; a beacon to help me realise my dreams are not impossible. I can do this... I’ll figure it out. I just need to follow my intuition and essentially, call on myself.”
