For the third year running blueseventy!s Helix wetsuit has taken the 220 Triathlon Wetsuit of the Year award, presented last Saturday night as part of the TCR show annual show. It!s the forth win for the Helix in five years, making it by far the most favoured wetsuit by triathletes. Dean Jackson, Global Sales and Marketing Manager at lueseventy, commented; “we!re delighted to accept this award, which continues to endorse our status as the world leader in triathlon and open water wetsuits. The award means so much more to the company because the people who matter most – the athletes, voted for us. We!re always focused on continuing to develop, refine and test our suits to ensure we can offer the most advanced wetsuit technology on the market, and this award validates the hard work the team put in to this process”. Far from resting on the success of the Helix, Blueseventy have continued to evolve the wetsuit market. They released the new range of Balanced Buoyancy suits in 2010 – it is the first range of wetsuits developed to match suit buoyancy with the specific biomechanical needs of the athlete. The range has been a great success with triathletes, particularly those not from a strong swimming background. blueseventy shared more success than just winning the Best Wetsuit Award – they were also proud to be associated with a number of other award winners on the night including blueseventy athletes Alistair Brownlee (Best Men!s Elite Athlete), Cat Morrison (Best Women!s Duathlete) and Lou Collins (Best Female Age Grouper), as well as Best Retail Store TFN, Best Online retailer Wiggle.co.uk, and Best Website Tri247.
