Recently launched personalised concierge company Legwork Concierge is taking off on the back of increased demand for time-starved people seeking time saving solutions.

Legwork Concierge manages busy professionals’ daily affairs, essentially giving back to them their most valuable possession – time, and simplifying their day-to-day lives for things that really matter.

Director Jo Davenport says that coming from a corporate marketing background she saw a gap in the market for a personalised concierge service. In fact, the industry is only just emerging in New Zealand with personal concierge services now common practice in many major European and American cities.

“From my own experience the one thing that people never have enough of is time. Legwork Concierge is essentially a one-stop shop to relieve these pressures”, says Jo.

Launched in late 2007, Jo is already busy with a number of projects completed and has had a lot of corporate and personal interest. Legwork Concierge prides themselves on their flexible services; clients simply buy the hours as and when they need them, then sit back as their personal concierge takes over and does the legwork for them.

No one job has been the same since she has started, with requests ranging from organising special occasions  to coordinating trades people.

“We understand the daily pressures professionals have in getting tasks done during the day. No task is ruled out, as long as it’s legal and ethical we do what we can to find a way to solve the problem.”

The service draws attention to the question where would you rather spend your time? “The last thing busy professionals want to do is be distracted by unnecessary tasks such as getting a warrant for your car or planning out special events. There just aren’t enough hours in the day, and these lists of things to do spill on to the weekends. When do you have time to get off the treadmill?”

Armed with immaculate time-management and organisational skills, Legwork Concierge offer a wide range of services, from event planning to gift buying. While many people perceive the term concierge as only for the rich and famous – personal concierge is becoming more common for busy people wanting to outsource those tasks they just don’t have time for.

“In my opinion, New Zealand is about 5-8 years behind the US – these trends suggest a growth in the industry particularly because of the continuous fast pace lifestyle that we are experiencing in the 21st century. More than 21% of us now work more than 50 hours a week which means increasingly spare time is spent on chores instead of leisure,” says Jo.

Legwork Concierge aims to simplify their client’s lifestyles, so they have more time for family, work or focusing more on what matters in their life.
