Style Christchurch 2008 is pleased to announce the new official wine partner for this year’s event - Rosemount.

On November 6th Rosemount will be serving their premium new product Rosemount O to guests, media and designers at the Style Christchurch Red Dress Collection show. Rosemount O, the most significant wine innovation of the season, is a delicately sparkling wine, specially designed to be served over ice and will be custom served as such to the elite fashion audience.

Antica Soljan, Rosemount's New Zealand Brand Manager says: "Rosemount is really excited to be involved with Style Christchurch. We see a strong synergy with our own brand, in that it’s designed to inspire and stimulate this discerning audience. With the recent release of our own innovation - Rosemount O, we really appreciate the amount of work that goes in to creating the innovative fashion collections that will be on show at Style Christchurch, and we're looking forward to meeting with some of New Zealand’s top fashion designers and industry,” she says.

Director and Producer of Style Christchurch Andhy Blake comments on Rosemount’s involvement “We are so delighted to have such an iconic brand associated with our event. Rosemount are well renowned for producing exquisite wines, and they’re big supporters of design and innovation as the sponsor of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, so having them on board as the official wine sponsor of Style Christchurch is such an honour. We look forward to treating our guests with Rosemount O and we’re sure it will go down a treat!” he says.

Style Christchurch 2008 is held from the 6th-7th of November in the lead up to New Zealand Cup and Show Week and consists of two main shows. The Red Dress Collection is a non-profit venture in which designers present a red outfit in honour of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. The Finale Show consists of 13 of New Zealand’s top designers who will showcase their latest collections.

Designers that are participating in this year’s Finale Show include NOM*D, Stitch Ministry, Huffer, Workshop Denim, Emma Ford Swimwear, GAS (by Dan Carter), Helen Cherry, IPG, MisteR, Sakaguchi, V&G and Sonia Smith. This years show also sees Andhy bring to New Zealand our first International designer; Fijian Koila McBride,

The event aims to establish Christchurch as a major New Zealand fashion destination, inspire more designers to use the city as their base and encourage young Canterbury designers to take up a career in fashion. Those lucky enough to see the shows can expect a world class production and contemporary trend setting environment. Blake hopes that the events will provide an opportunity for all involved to “network with fashion media, designers, model scouts and key industry spectators.”

The Christchurch City Council continues to support Style Christchurch for 2008 and plays a significant role in supporting each fashion show with locations and hosting.
