At the upcoming Camper Care NZ Motorhome & Caravan Show, Editor of Nourish Magazine Vicki Ravlich-Horan will be cooking up a storm and demonstrating how to prepare simple yet delicious meals while on the road.

The North Island Camper Care NZ Motorhome & Caravan Show is being held at Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th March.  Following up on feedback from last year’s show, organisers have joined forces with Nourish Magazine Editor and Chef Vicki Ravlich-Horan who will be providing two cooking classes daily (one morning and afternoon) free for those who attend the show.

Vicki will demonstrate that even when you are camping, you can enjoy fabulous food and will show guests how to cook in a small space while on the road and how they can expand their BBQ repertoire beyond steak and sausages.  She will teach new skills including how to take one chicken and create several tasty meals and how to cook a great dinner (including dessert) on a simple grill.

Vicki has been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and runs a company called Feast which offers cooking classes, food tours and consultation on all things culinary.  An avid foodie, Vicki says her job is a dream come true.  “I get to talk, research and teach all aspects of food all day, every day.”  Vicki’s clients include everyone from novice cooks to women who have been cooking the family dinner for years and just need inspiration.  “The classes I will be running at the motorhome show are designed for everyone – not just Mum,” she says.

Event Director of the NZ Motorhome & Caravan Show, Michele Connell said the team is really excited to have Vicki on board for this year’s show.  “Enjoying food is such an important component of a holiday so this is the perfect class for everyone in the family to get along to.”

As well as cooking classes, a DIY motorhome and caravan section and the ‘favourite destinations’ area, there are some impressive prizes up for grabs.  This year one lucky person will get the chance to take away a $150,000 prize to go towards their own motorhome or caravan and every day there is a chance to win a seven day luxury Kea Motorhome holiday with accommodation at Family Parks Holiday Parks around NZ.

The show, which is in its 8th year, will have the latest and greatest motorhome and caravan products, accessories and services on display as well as new technologies and special offers. There is a range of fun and interesting activities for everyone in the family to get ideas about how to make the most of your holiday.  There is no better place to talk to the experts, check out the latest products and innovations and compare the latest models, all under one roof.

Tickets for NZ’s premier motorhome and caravan show can be purchased on the door.  Adult tickets are $15 with children under 16 free.  The Liberty ticket (unlimited access for the weekend) is $20.  The show is open from 9am-5pm on the Friday/Saturday and 10am-4pm on the Sunday.  Further information is available at www.nzmotorhomeshow.co.nz
