Olympic Champion Lisa Carrington (NZL) wins the K1 Women 200m and seems to be in unstoppable form at the 2013 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup, Racice.

Her K1 200m win comes on the back of the K1 500m win just 24hours prior, her breakthrough win, an event in which Carrington went from winning the B-final in Hungary a week ago to the A-final in Czech Republic.

The 23-year-old secured a relatively easy victory in her favourite event, the K1 200m, her time of 41.420 seconds bettering Russian Natalia Podolskaya by 0.27s with German Tina Dietze third in 42.390s.

She also won the K1 200m in Hungary last week, making it three golds from two World Cups to kick off the European season.

Carrington, the world and Olympic K1 200m champion, has added the longer event to her schedule for several reasons; she believes it will help her 200m performances but she's also keen to add another string to her bow and contend for two medals at the world championships in August.

New Zealand lined up in seven A-finals in Racice, but Carrington was the only medallist.

Ben Fouhy showed some signs of improvement, finishing seventh in the A-final of the men's K1 1000m having finished third in the B-final in Hungary, while Teneale Hatton was fourth in the women's K1 5000m distance event. She was second in that discipline in Hungary.

Carrington is now looking forward to the World Cup 3 event in two weeks time.
