All the charity spots for the 2013 ASICS Kepler Challenge have been filled.

The fifteen places were filled within 48 hours. Four charity runners are from Australia, one from USA and 10 are New Zealanders.
One runner, entering the Kepler Challenge for the 20th time, said, “After 19 years of running the Kepler, it’s probably time to put more back into the community than just turn up and run the race.”
Each runner has paid $1000 for the privilege of running the Kepler Challenge.

Thanks to the generosity of these charity runners, the Kepler Challenge Organising Committee is able to donate $15,000 to the Fiordland Community Swimming Pool this year. The swimming pool was closed for the 2012/13 season, following the discovery of structural weaknesses.

The donation from the Kepler Challenge Organising Committee will help complete repairs to the pool in time for the 2013/14 season.
