Kapiti Women's Update - KWT 2010 - It's a Wrap - Well done

 Wow - What an amazing day we had!  Congratulations to all of you who made it to the start line!  It was really one out of the bag, and for that we are thankful.  The Tsunami alert held things up an hour or so but for over 500 of you this was just a small blip in a very successful day.  

 I would like to personally thank everyone down there for their patience and understanding of the delays to the start.  I have not heard of one complaint regarding that, which in my experience is unusual.  Our co ordinators & volunteers were so impressed with the way you all just got on with it and with your attitude towards the day.  

We have had some really good feedback about the new venue and timing of the event, and of course welcome more, good or bad, as we aim to continue making the event better for you our participants.  It has been pretty clear that the new version worked well for most of you, so we will make some small changes for next year, based on feedback, but nothing major.  I am proud to say that with your help we managed to let all waves, of triathletes & duathletes (yes all 500+ of you) away within 21minutes....a huge improvement on the previous 1hr 40mins!!  

All that remains is a few things now to tidy up, and we are done for 2010.  Thanks again and we hope to see as many of you as possible
