In an another exciting development for the young women athletes in Team CycloSport, five of the TEAM are now confirmed to race in Holland over the Northern Hemisphere summer. In what can only be described as a fantastic opportunity for the NZ registered Domestic Trade team, the prospect of a season racing against the world’s best road riders is certainly welcomed by the women.

Tracy Best and Emily Collins will race for top Dutch cycling club SwaboLadies. Both riders are excited at the prospect of competing alongside one of Holland’s strongest women’s road cycling teams and enhancing their rapidly developing skills . Tracy will depart NZ in mid-May before being joined by 19 year old Emily Collins in June after Emily finishes her university examinations.

The two women will have fellow Team CycloSport riders based close by in Holland, 21 year old Emma Crum and 19 year old Jessica Jolly will race with Team Tubanters, another of the leading Dutch women’s road cycling teams. Both riders will join their teams after university examinations in June.

Completing this unique situation, 24 year old Serena Sheridan, the 2009 NZ National Road Race Points Series winner will race with the Royal Bicycle Club of Antwerp. Serena has raced in Europe previously and is looking forward to the opportunity to further develop her undoubted talent.

Before embarking on this adventure, the team will compete in the National Club Road Cycling Championships in Hawkes Bay at the end of April.
