Anytime Fitness, a 24-hour fitness club franchise, is looking for entrepreneurs across New Zealand to own their own gyms.

Anytime Fitness was introduced in New Zealand in 2008 by Australian brother and sister team Justin McDonell and Jacinta McDonell Jiminez who have quickly grown their franchise to an annual turnover exceeding $3.3M in 2009/10.

With four clubs currently opened and 15 territories sold in New Zealand, Justin and Jacinta have plans to open 350 Anytime Fitness clubs in Australia and New Zealand within the next five years.

"We have been able so far to attract qualified franchisees with our low-cost business model which requires minimum staffing, said Justin. We provide our franchisees with a lot of support and give them the tools and the guidance they need every step of the way, from finding ideal locations to equipping and marketing their clubs. The advantage of owning a franchise is that we help set up how the club looks and works, but each franchisee can put their own personal touch. Plus, being in the health and fitness industry, our franchisees really like the opportunity to make a significant difference in peoples lives," he explained.

Richard Ball had spent three decades in the fitness industry when he joined Anytime Fitness after looking for a business opportunity that would give him more freedom. He now owns the Hamilton and Cambridge Anytime Fitness clubs.

"Anytime Fitness has a great business model. The highly advanced security system means minimum staff is required - so no huge wages bill and I have more free time to do other things I like," Richard said. "Justin and his team are excellent to work with and the systems and processes are first-class. Plus, the franchise monthly fees are flat, which allows for very good return on investment," Richard said.

Anytime Fitness franchisees have access to an internationally-proven business model with strong branding, backed up by a local team of experienced and passionate entrepreneurs.

Being in the health and wellbeing industry, the Anytime Fitness franchise model was built around the concept of freedom. Anytime Fitness franchisees can run multiple clubs remotely and require low labour, providing them with more free time and a balanced lifestyle.

The modern security system in place also allows clubs to run smoothly and worry-free even during non-staffed hours. In addition, Anytime Fitness monthly franchise fees are low and fixed. This allows franchisees to benefit from their own business growth.

Anytime Fitness was founded in the USA in 2002 as an alternative to larger and more expensive health clubs. It has grown to become the fastest growing fitness club franchise in America and currently has more than 1,300 worldwide. For more information, visit www.anytimefitness.co.nz or call (03) 341 0163.
